Ryde Retreat
Architecturally designed, this double garage was turned into a very stylish retreat, with storage rooms adjoining. The warmth of the spotted gum flooring combined with the custom built cabinetry have enhanced the overall feeling of this once garage, into a newly renovated retreat.
A large sliding door was designed to let in the morning sun, whilst taking full advantage of the garden area. The front of the building was then clad with Western Red Cedar. A small awning and bench were incorporated into the design, creating a truly stylish exterior for the new retreat. The original paving was kept, whilst steps and a fish pond were incorporated into the new landscaping works to allow access to the next level.
Complete with its own ensuite and courtyard, the decision to turn the garage space into living space has been a great success. This allows our clients the flexibility to share their home with friends and relatives, whilst still maintaining the privacy of their own home.
